There are situations that require the benefits of on-site marking as compared to preprinted UID labels. When lead times are short or you need access to real time production of labels, on-site printing is the solution.
Camcode offers unique solutions for on site marking of permanent UID labels. Camcode laser markable label blanks are precision fabricated and packaged in convenient quantities for ready use. All our label blanks have either holes or high strength adhesive for attachment after marking. We have products to support any laser device including all CO2, Yag and fiber optic lasers.
On-site marking gives you the control to build variable information UID tags and make changes at a moment's notice. You make as many labels as you need at the time and have control over changes. Our technologies allow you to print durable labels for the most challenging ATA SPEC 2000, UID, and commercial applications.
Here's how it works.
Prerequisite: You must have a laser-marking device to use these products.
1. Purchase one of our laser markable labels to your exact label configuration. Specify adhesive or holes for mechanical fastening. Labels come in foil thin die cut sheets ready for the laser or in boxes of precut parts for the thicker materials.
2. Create your graphics using software that allows the encryption of a data matrix code. We can suggest software for this purpose.
3. Position the label blanks on the bed of the laser and mark with your laser.
