There
is very little room on most tags for long, complex captions or headlines.
Making the most of limited space requires asset label headlines
be short. Some Examples: The second line
is most commonly the company or institution name. The third
line is a perfect spot for either phone numbers or web address,
especially on portable assets and removable items such as
laptops, PDA's, and cell phones, so that if they are lost
or misplaced the company, agency or institution can be contacted.
Asset
tags are also used by service companies to identify service
information (Serviced by...) and installation information
(Installed by...) to serve as promotional labels to
keep a service company name in front of customers. Barcode sticker tags on
leased equipment can serve the dual purpose of asset tracking
& as a service reminder for marketing purposes. |
